A Prayer (Keep My Flame Ablaze)

Father, I ask that you would keep my flame ablaze. Help me not to dissociate to build an enlarged version of myself. I ask that you would protect the flame in my heart, the flame of love for you. Help me not to become fixated on some persona, presentation, or appearance that is separated from my authentic self. Help me not to chase ambition without faith.

God, help me to cultivate faith in my life.

A steady response to your call.

A brilliant becoming of more than I could ask, imagine, or dream.

By, with, for, and around – a saturation of your Spirit.

Help me not to level off in the potential that you planted inside of me before the foundations of the world. Help me not to fear being seen or known. Help me to keep on growing like a tree planted by streams of water, anchored and rising, both extending steadily, healthily.

But God, please more than all of it, help me to stay faithful to you, your ways, your time, your plan.

Protect my flame, God.

Protect me, God.

Keep me hidden in you.

This, I ask.
