Focus

There is a beam of light striking the middle of the sea. It starts at the horizon and reaches all the way to the shore. It speaks of focus. It knows exactly where it came from, and where it is going. It knows what piece of sea it wants to heat, and where it will land. It does not feel the need to cover the entire ocean, or extend itself for others. It just shines where it is placed to shine. Boom.

Focus can be hard to find. It may offend the people around you. It can appear selfish, after all, what about the rest of the ocean? Yet, focusing on one strip instead of the whole yields a much stronger result. This is what it looks like to hit the target. Permission to be a beam of light that is directed in one place, with certain boundaries, for a certain purpose.
